Tips from the community

Two entries to Payson Lakes for day use. Second entry is about 3/4 mile after the first one and includes access to the campgrounds (which were full.) Day use parking on a Saturday was VERY full.Lake has algae; dogs not allowed on lake beach.

We stayed at the campground for a few days in a pull through spot. My husband maxed out on fish the first day and caught a few more the next day. The kids kayaked. We had way too many s'mores and played flashlight sardines.

This place is beautiful and secluded. I feel safe letting my kids out on paddle boards and kayaks.
